DESCRIPTION

For this student project, we were asked to design a set of three packaging designs for a dried food group of our choice while considering sustainable print techniques. I designed a series of packages for a speculative brand called Bukid (meaning ‘mountain’ in Bisaya), which serves sustainable, single-origin coffee beans ethically sourced from the mountain regions of the Philippines.

I created a uniform design system that comprises an outside container and colour-coordinated coffee information cards inserted in the box pockets. The outside container remains the same for each coffee variety, which reduces financial and environmental costs by lessening the number of designs to be printed. The final designs are printed on recycled paper stock, aligning with the brand’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
